Meet Merri from Bali, Indonesia. We were so blessed to meet her and learn the value of contentment with what we are given. Merri does not come from a wealthy family, she comes from a family that makes less than $30 a month USD. She taught us the value of joy does not come from material wealth, but from the love of God and family. Merri is one of the most playful and brightest children we met. She loves yoga, traditional Balinese dance, and learning other languages. While in Bali, we had the joy of teaching english, spanish, and french to the children as they taught us Bahasa, one of the Indonesian dialects. She attends the Yayasan Widya Guna after school program alongside the disabled children. Bi-annually we visit Bali and we stay in a homestay that is a traditional Balinese family home that teach us the customs, culture, and etiquette of Balinese life. If you are interested in joining us on one of these trips, email us at email@example.com.
For some of you who haven't met Zainabu, she is one of the children that Jai Bhakti Yoga Foundation sponsors through Compassion International. For those of you who give monthly, a portion of your monthly support helps provide Zainabu with school clothes, books, shoes, and food for her family. We have been sponsoring Zainabu for 3 years and over the last 1yr and a half have been able to increase our giving to her and her family because of the community we serve with such a big beautiful heart. She is so grateful for us and looks forward to one day meeting her sponsors. We are working on a funding program to go and visit Zainabu in Tanzania, Africa. If you are interested in joining us on one of these trips, email us firstname.lastname@example.org.
