Christina Andrini – Founder of Jai Bhakti Yoga Foundation, Cheif Executive Officer, Board Chair of JBYF, and 200hr E-RYT, YACEP Yoga Instructor, and Reiki practitioner.
She has included JBYF as an organization member for the Yoga Service Council, is the Field Coordinator and Trainer for Connected Warriors since their conception in 2008, leads/ host a multitude of accessible yoga and wellness classes throughout New Orleans, India, Bali, and Costa Rica. Pioneered Aqua Yoga in New Orleans and is the only certified Aqua Kriya Yoga Teacher in the state of Louisiana. Her foundation is also an RYS (registered yoga school) 200 with YA. She is the founder and facilitator of the annual Day of Yoga festival for New Orleans and Summer Solstice World Yoga Day events and leads 200hr Adaptive Hatha and Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher Trainings with multiple studios.
Andrini has been teaching yoga formally since 2011 studying under master yoga teachers around the world in Bhakti, Hatha, Power, Aqua Kriya, Sivananda, Trauma, and Chair yoga.
Christina was voted Healthy Hero of New Orleans in April 2018 by Fit Nola for Natural Awakenings magazine, is a brand ambassador for Athleta, and Jade Yoga Mats, has appeared on WWLTV Great Day Louisiana for Aqua Yoga with Fit Nola and WSDU for Day of Yoga. She is a woman of P.O.W.E.R (Professional Organization of Excellence Recognized) for the state of Louisiana in her field.
Emilio Aleman – Board Director of Executive Committee, NOPD, Veteran Navy Corpsman
Emilio Aleman followed in the footsteps of his father and older brothers and learned the art of Dental Technology. He was employed by Distinctive Dental Designs for over 13 years as a Dental Technician before enlisting in the United States Navy in April of 2007. He served as served as Hospital Corpsman reaching the rank of E5 Hospital Corpsman Second Class 4th Marine logistics Group (4 th MLG) and was mobilized in support of various Joint Operations for the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Aleman, a Fleet Marine Warfare Specialist was charged with the direction and training of Corpsmen and Marines; specializing and instructing Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Combat Lifesaver (CLS) to name a few. He was the Command Staff, Group Lead Petty Officer overseeing the Health Services Support to maintain oversight of 9 subordinate regiments and battalions leading 56 Medical Department Representatives (MDR) providing operational support ISO 8,800 Marines.
He is M4 Rifle Qualified (Sharpshooter) and M9 Pistol Qualified (Sharpshooter).
His last tour of duty landed him in support of Marine Forces Reserve located in Algiers, Louisiana, a sub-community of Greater New Orleans (GNO) where Mr. Aleman fell in love with the City of New Orleans upon completing his last tour. Mr. Aleman applied to become a New Orleans Police Officer , where he attended and completed the New Orleans Police Department, Police Academy in the summer of 2016 and is currently employed by the NOPD.
Mr. Aleman is married to Christina Andrini- Aleman, and has two teenage boys and 2 pugs. He currently serves on the Board of Directors on the Executive Committee and oversees all final decisions for Jai Bhakti Yoga Foundation.
Julie Holman is an RYT, CTT, LPN, CHLPN.
Practicing and celebrating the benefits of Yoga for over two decades one breath at a time. Playfully merging her background in arts and movement with her holistic career path of a Hospice & Palliative Nurse, Julie invites all ages, stages and sizes of people to embrace the healing power of mindful movement. Studying in Rishikesh, India, Tibet and several other countries as well as in the states with Shiva Rae, Sharon Gannon & David Life. Embracing roots in Vinyasa, Ayurvedic Tantric, and Nidra - integrating mindfulness and meditation, while crafting a practice that is restorative yet invigorating. Certified in Aromatherapy, Healing Touch, Mindfulness, and Meditation-endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA). Certified by the Yoga Alliance. Since 2014, Julie has served on the National Yoga Alliance Education Committee. When not focusing on her Asana’s, Julie is movin and groovin to live music, experimenting with plant-based food & body tonics, writing for wellness magazines and enjoying time with her inspiring family and friends.
