Christina Andrini – Founder of Jai Bhakti Yoga LLC and Jai Bhakti Yoga Foundation, Cheif Executive Officer, Board Chair of JBYF, and 200hr E-RYT, YACEP Yoga Instructor, and Reiki Level 1 practitioner.
Christina Andrini is the founder, CEO and Board Director of Jai Bhakti Yoga Foundation and Jai Bhakti Yoga. She is the pioneer of mobile yoga service providers making yoga accessible to underserved and disadvantaged communities throughout New Orleans offering Aqua Kriya Yoga, Chair Yoga, Spanish Yoga, and adaptive yoga classes to veterans, elderly, and persons with physical, mental, emotional, and visual disabilities. Andrini is the founder and producer of the Day of Yoga Festival, Connected Warriors Yoga training for the south east region, and leads global Wellness and Volunteerism retreats. Andrini has been teaching yoga since 2011 studying under influential yoga teachers around the world in Bhakti, Hatha, Aqua Kriya, Sivananda, Trauma, and Chair yoga. She is a 200hr E-RYT, YACEP yoga instructor, Reiki healer, Spiritual practitioner, and a teachers teacher. Andrini enjoys leading unique adaptive classes at various wellness events and yoga festivals annually and hosts accessible yoga teacher trainings locally and abroad.
Christina the Field Trainer for Connected Warriors Yoga Non profit, was voted Healthy Hero of New Orleans in April 2018 by Fit Nola for Natural Awakenings magazine, is a brand ambassador for Athleta, and Jade Yoga Mats.
Emilio Aleman – Board Director of Executive Committee, NOPD, Veteran Navy Corpsman
Emilio Aleman followed in the footsteps of his father and older brothers and learned the art of Dental Technology. He was employed by Distinctive Dental Designs for over 13 years as a Dental Technician before enlisting in the United States Navy in April of 2007. He served as served as Hospital Corpsman reaching the rank of E5 Hospital Corpsman Second Class 4th Marine logistics Group (4 th MLG) and was mobilized in support of various Joint Operations for the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Aleman, a Fleet Marine Warfare Specialist was charged with the direction and training of Corpsmen and Marines; specializing and instructing Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Combat Lifesaver (CLS) to name a few. He was the Command Staff, Group Lead Petty Officer overseeing the Health Services Support to maintain oversight of 9 subordinate regiments and battalions leading 56 Medical Department Representatives (MDR) providing operational support ISO 8,800 Marines.
He is M4 Rifle Qualified (Sharpshooter) and M9 Pistol Qualified (Sharpshooter).
His last tour of duty landed him in support of Marine Forces Reserve located in Algiers, Louisiana, a sub-community of Greater New Orleans (GNO) where Mr. Aleman fell in love with the City of New Orleans upon completing his last tour. Mr. Aleman applied to become a New Orleans Police Officer , where he attended and completed the New Orleans Police Department, Police Academy in the summer of 2016 and is currently employed by the NOPD.
Mr. Aleman is married to Christina Andrini- Aleman, and has two teenage boys and 2 pugs. He currently serves on the Board of Directors on the Executive Committee and oversees all final decisions for Jai Bhakti Yoga Foundation.
Chad Fava - Board Director of Development
Chad W. Fava is the Director of Development for Jai Bhakti Yoga Foundation. Prior to joining the foundation, Chad was an intelligence specialist in the United States Navy. He has a degree in Special Education from Pensacola State College and a degree in Occupational Health and Safety from Columbia Southern University. Chad is a father of two boys and is an advocate for individuals with disabilities. His focus will be to help individuals more effectively collaborate and achieve greater impact in the local communities. He joined the Board of Directors for Jai Bhakti Yoga Foundation in May 2017.
